6 Private experiences for true art lovers

On this International Art Day, NUBA presents 6 exclusive experiences in which you can discover Croatia, France, Brazil, the Vatican, Peru and Greece like never before.

A unique tour through the museums of these cities, with private visits behind closed doors, where you can learn first-hand the true history of their works of art.

Croatia, Mestrovic gallery

The gallery, which is located in the original residence of the artist Ivan Mestrovic, the most famous Croatian sculptor of the 20th century, is a neoclassical villa, where we can see the complete collection of his works.

These not only show their influences – classical, folk and modernist – but also explain their history growing up in what would, in the future, become Yugoslavia. We will tour the marvelous space after hours, accompanied only by the museum curator.

France, Versailles Palace

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site more than thirty years ago, the Palace of Versailles is one of the most famous palaces in the world. Here we will live a unique experience, that of an exclusive visit to the Palace; during this exceptional tour, we will have the privilege of discovering spaces rarely revealed to the public.

Once the gates of the estate have been closed to visitors, a guide will introduce us to the rooms that make Versailles famous: the Hall of Mirrors, the Grand Apartments, the Private Apartments or the Cabinets of Marie Antoinette. This confidential and exclusive visit will be an unforgettable memory for everyone.

Brazil, Niterói Museum of Contemporary Art

The museum is a must-see in the city, not only for the spectacular pieces on display in its halls, but also for the building itself, a true work of art by the father of modern Brazilian architecture, Oscar Niemeyer.

A unique experience awaits us inside this “White Flower”, where we can admire the more than one thousand works of art housed inside, during an exclusive visit, before the opening or after the closing of the building to the public. Collected since the 1950s by art collector João Sattamini, it is considered the second largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil.

The Vatican, the Sistine Chapel

If there is a place that evokes the expression of art down to the smallest detail, it is the Sistine Chapel. This spectacular masterpiece by the great Michelangelo, who broke with the molds of Renaissance art, elevated the mastery of fresco painting to an almost unattainable level.

An exceptional creation that we will have the absolute privilege to meet privately. Here, we will experience and delve, as never before, into the beauty of the Vatican, accompanying the keeper of its keys, and contemplating the paintings that adorn the vault while an art specialist reveals all its secrets.

Peru, Museum of Pre-Columbian Art of Cuzco

The emblematic Casa Cabrera is the museum’s headquarters, whose original construction dates back more than 500 years.

Entering the museum will take us on an exclusive journey three thousand years ago, in which we will discover the mythical objects created in the sixteenth century by those who gave birth to the Inca Empire; pieces that are part of the collection of the Larco Museum in Lima, internationally recognized as one of the best in the world.

Knowing first hand, in private, the remote Andean world will lead us to understand that their art bridged the world between men and their gods.

Greece, Acropolis Museum of Athens

Dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of most of the treasures found in this sacred mountain, it has become today the most important museum in the city. This very important work of contemporary architecture, built in steel, glass and concrete, is waiting to be discovered behind closed doors.

Here we can find, accompanied by an expert archaeologist, the remains of what was one of the most important cities of ancient Greece, with an impressive collection of 4,000 classical pieces belonging to the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike or the Erechtheion, among others.
