On November 14, the Colombian Ambassador’s Residence in Madrid opened its doors to host an exclusive NUBA event. This privileged place became the epicenter of an evening in which culture, art and gastronomy came together to present Colombia as a unique destination for incentive travel.
Organized in collaboration with Avianca and Procolombia, this event showed our large MICE clients the essence of a vibrant, diverse country full of opportunities to inspire and motivate.
Welcome to Colombia: a dream destination
The evening began with a warm greeting from the Ambassador of Colombia to the Kingdom of Spain, His Excellency Mr. Eduardo Ávila Navarrete, who highlighted the natural, cultural and human wonders that make the country an exceptional place. These words invited us to look beyond the familiar images and discover a destination that surprises at every turn.
Then, Verónica Tabares, NUBA’s MICE director, and Daniel Miranda, NUBA’s commercial director, guided us on a tour of the best destinations, cities and experiences that this country has to offer incentive travelers. From the sophistication of Bogota to the colonial charm of Cartagena, passing through the unique landscapes of the Eje Cafetero, Colombia demonstrated its capacity to make any traveler fall in love; and the possibilities are endless to surprise and motivate.
A sensory journey: art and flavors of Colombia
The magic was not only in words. The evening continued with a sensory journey that brought us even closer to its essence. During the event, attendees enjoyed a live artistic demonstration by Nicolás Villamizar, a renowned Colombian artist. In front of the guests, Nicolás created a work that captured the colors, landscapes and emotions of his homeland, leaving everyone in awe of the creative process.
Gastronomy played a leading role thanks to the Michelin Star restaurant Quimbaya By Edwin Rodríguez, which offered an exquisite tasting menu inspired by the culinary diversity of Colombia. Carefully prepared dishes transported attendees on a journey of flavors that connected tradition and innovation.

The event culminated with an exciting raffle, courtesy of Avianca, in which one of the lucky attendees won a trip to Colombia to experience firsthand all that the country has to offer. A unique opportunity to discover Colombia’s landscapes, culture and hospitality.
